Terms & Conditions

Welcome to Prova. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Prova platform, including our website, mobile applications, and all related services (collectively, the “Platform”). By creating an account or using Prova in any way, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

Prova is operated by Prova Sports Technology LLC, a company incorporated in the Dubai International Financial Centre (“DIFC”), United Arab Emirates. References to “Prova”, “we”, “us”, or “our” mean that entity.

If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not access or use the Platform.

1. Who Can Use Prova

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and use Prova. If you are between 13 and 17 years old, you may only use Prova with the verified consent of a parent or legal guardian, and your profile will be set to private by default. Prova is not intended for children under 13.

By using the Platform, you represent that all information you provide is accurate, current, and complete. You may not impersonate any person, misrepresent your professional credentials, or create an account on behalf of someone else without their explicit consent.

2. Account Registration and Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You must notify us immediately at security@prova.sport if you suspect any unauthorised use of your account.

You may not share your account, sell it, transfer it, or allow others to access it. Each person may only hold one active account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate duplicate accounts.

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account, whether or not you authorised it.

3. Professional Verification and Tiers

Prova operates a tiered verification system designed to maintain the integrity of the platform as a professional network:

  • LEGEND — Retired elite professionals. Invite-only. Verified by the Prova team.
  • ELITE — Active professionals at the highest level. Manual verification with documentary evidence required. Subject to subscription fee.
  • PRO — Coaches, trainers, semi-professionals. Document verification required. Subject to subscription fee.
  • STANDARD — Sports-affiliated professionals. Self-declared. Free.
  • FAN — Sports fans. Available when the Fan tier is opened (Phase 3).

Submitting false, misleading, or fraudulent documentation during the verification process is a serious breach of these Terms and will result in immediate account termination, potential reporting to relevant sporting bodies, and may constitute a criminal offence under applicable law.

Verified tier status does not constitute an endorsement by Prova of any professional claim and may be revoked if circumstances change or documentation is found to be inaccurate.

4. User Content

You retain ownership of content you post on Prova (“User Content”). By posting, you grant Prova a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, distribute, and promote your User Content within the Platform and, where applicable, in marketing materials that promote Prova, subject to your privacy settings.

You are solely responsible for your User Content. You represent and warrant that:

  • You own or have the rights to post the content.
  • The content does not infringe any third-party intellectual property rights.
  • The content does not contain false professional claims or impersonate others.
  • The content complies with our Community Guidelines.
  • Every post includes at least one relevant sport tag.

You may delete your content at any time. Note that copies may persist briefly in caches or backups, and content shared by others before deletion may remain visible in their reposts.

5. Prohibited Conduct

The following are strictly prohibited on Prova:

  • Impersonating any athlete, coach, official, or other person.
  • Posting false credentials, fabricated career history, or fake achievements.
  • Harassment, bullying, threats, or hate speech of any kind.
  • Sharing content that sexualises minors in any way.
  • Spam, unsolicited commercial messages, or pyramid schemes.
  • Scraping, data harvesting, or automated access to the Platform without our consent.
  • Circumventing or attempting to circumvent security measures.
  • Posting content primarily focused on politics, religion, or other non-sport topics.
  • Using Prova to facilitate illegal transactions or activities.
  • Posting content that violates any applicable law, including UAE Federal Law No. 5 of 2012 on Combating Cybercrimes.

Violations may result in content removal, account suspension, permanent banning, and where required by law, reporting to relevant authorities.

6. Opportunities and Applications

The Opportunity Board connects sports professionals with roles, gigs, and collaborations. Prova is a marketplace and is not a party to any agreement formed between users through the Platform. We do not guarantee the accuracy of opportunity listings, the suitability of applicants, or that any engagement will result from use of the Opportunity Board.

Opportunity posters are responsible for ensuring their listings comply with applicable employment, advertising, and anti-discrimination laws in their jurisdiction.

7. Subscriptions and Payments

Certain tier verifications (ELITE, PRO) require a monthly subscription. Subscriptions are billed in advance and are non-refundable except where required by law. You authorise us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.

You may cancel your subscription at any time from Settings. Your access to paid features continues until the end of the current billing period, after which your tier will revert to STANDARD.

Payments are processed by Stripe (global) or Telr (UAE/GCC). We do not store card numbers or CVV codes. All payment data is handled directly by these PCI-DSS compliant processors.

8. Intellectual Property

The Prova name, logo, wordmark, and all platform design elements are the exclusive property of Prova Sports Technology LLC. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use our trademarks, trade names, or trade dress without our prior written consent.

All platform software, code, databases, and user interface designs are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Platform.

9. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data. By using Prova, you agree to our collection and use of data as described in the Privacy Policy. If there is a conflict between these Terms and the Privacy Policy on matters of data processing, the Privacy Policy governs.

10. Disclaimers

Prova is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.

We are not responsible for the accuracy of user profiles, the authenticity of claimed credentials, the conduct of users on or off the Platform, or the outcome of any professional engagement arranged through Prova.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Prova and its directors, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Platform, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform shall not exceed the amount you paid to Prova in the twelve months preceding the claim, or AED 500 if you have not made any payments.

12. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from Settings › Account. We will retain your data for 30 days in case you change your mind, then permanently delete it.

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if we believe you have violated these Terms, if required by law, or if we determine that your presence is harmful to other users or the integrity of the Platform. Where possible, we will notify you and give you an opportunity to appeal.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by a prominent notice on the Platform at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of Prova after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC). Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of Prova shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the DIFC Courts.
